Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Harbor & Cross: Family (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Angel L Rodriguez. The philosophy is simple: your data is yours, and it stays on your device. The App doesn't require an account, doesn't collect personal information, and doesn't track what you read.

What This Policy Covers

This policy covers two separate things, and they work differently:

• The Harbor & Cross: Family iOS app — collects nothing and sends nothing off your device.
• This website, harborandcross.com — uses basic traffic analytics, described in its own section below.

No Account Required

Harbor & Cross does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information to use the App. You download it, open it, and start reading — that's it.

Data Collection and Storage

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All information — including your onboarding preferences, your selected parenting season, streak and progress data, theme preferences, reading history, and subscription status — is stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage mechanisms.

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or to any third party. The App uses no third-party analytics SDKs and does not collect your name, email address, location, or any other identifying information.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services, application programming interfaces, or servers. There is no network communication other than Apple's StoreKit for subscription verification.

Subscriptions

Harbor & Cross offers optional premium subscriptions (Annual and Lifetime) through Apple's App Store. These transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or any billing details. Apple's privacy policy governs these transactions.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.

Prayer Vision and Screen Time

Prayer Vision uses Apple's Screen Time (FamilyControls) framework on your device to temporarily shield distracting apps during a devotional or prayer session. It is entirely voluntary — the App never starts a session on its own, and Emergency Unlock is always available.

No information about your apps or your usage is collected or transmitted. The shielding happens entirely on-device through Apple's Screen Time application programming interface, and it is removed when the session ends.

Analytics on harborandcross.com

Unlike the App, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. We use it for one practical reason: to know whether the site is doing its job of helping parents find the App.

Google Analytics collects standard web measurement data — the pages you view, the approximate region your visit comes from (derived from your internet protocol address), the type of device and browser you use, and the site that referred you. It sets cookies in your browser to tell repeat visits apart. We also record when someone taps a “Download on the App Store” button, so we can see which part of the page leads people to the App Store. That record is a count, not an identity.

We do not sell this data, we do not run advertising on this site, and we do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors. This website has no contact forms, no email signup, and no other way to submit personal information to us — the only way to reach us is the email address below.

If you would rather not be measured, you can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, use a content blocker, or install Google's official browser opt-out add-on. None of this affects the App, which measures nothing either way.

Children's Privacy

Harbor & Cross is designed for adult users (parents). The App is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above, and the revised version will be included in a future app update. Since we don't collect email addresses, we encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
